Sri Lanka's spinners tied Australia in knots in the first Test of their three-match series in Pallekele but the Lankans have been dealt a blow in the lead-up to the second rubber wich begins in Galle tomorrow morning.

Seamer Nuwan Pradeep became the latest home bowler to sustain an injury after suffering a hamstring strain, further weakening the hosts’ attack.

Pradeep was Sri Lanka’s sole quick bowler in Pallekele and captain Angelo Mathews must choose between uncapped seamers Vishwa Fernando and Ashita Fernando to fill the void.
