Paceman Alzarri Joseph has played a key role in helping the West Indies establish a decisive 2-0 lead over Ireland in their three-match ODI series and he looks the main danger to the tourists in the final contest in Grenada.

Joseph bowled at decent pace in Tuesday's opening match in Barbados, taking four for 32 as Ireland were reduced to 180 all out.

He was even more impressive in Thursday's second match - also at the Kensington Oval - bowling a slightly fuller length to return identical figures.

That effort was part of another winning performance but it was a close call with the West Indies chasing down Ireland's 237-9 with just one ball and one wicket to spare.

Despite coming so close to victory, Ireland have failed to win over the bookmakers and they are 5-1 to sign off the series with a win.

Ireland's Achilles heel is their fragile batting. They have not passed 250 in their last three ODIs and they could be exposed again by rising star Joseph, who has the skills to be effective in a variety of conditions.
