India sealed a 3-0 Twenty20 series victory over the West Indies in Guyana on Tuesday and they are 1-3 to win the first of three ODIs against the Windies.

The Indian batting unit looks as strong as ever, with Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, captain Virat Kohli and Lokesh Rahul in the top four although the World Cup semi-finalists have rested ace paceman Jasprit Bumrah and all-rounder Hardik Pandya for this series.

Bumrah claimed 18 wickets at the tournament in England but Mohammad Shami wasn't far behind on 14 despite playing only four matches.

One of those games was against the West Indies at Old Trafford, where Shami took 4-16 including the crucial wickets of Chris Gayle, Shai Hope and Shimron Hetmyer.

He followed that up with a five-wicket haul against England at Edgbaston, having taken a hat-trick against Afghanistan in his first appearance of the tournament, and he looks overpriced to be India's top wicket-taker at the Providence Stadium.

The 39-year-old Gayle is favourite with most bookmakers to top-score for the West Indies but he has just one fifty in his last 13 ODIs against India.
