West Indies could spring a minor shock in Nelson
Tourists have won last five T20s
First T20
Sky Sports Cricket, 2am Thursday night
New Zealand sealed a comfortable 3-0 one-day international series whitewash over West Indies and are favourites to win the first of a three-match T20 series at Nelson's Saxton Oval.
The venue has hosted nine ODIs but this will be the first fixture in the shortest international format and the West Indies will fancy their chances of regaining some pride on an otherwise disappointing tour.
The World T20 champions have won their last five matches in this format, including victories over India and England, and have several power hitters among their ranks.
Marlon Samuels is absent but Chris Gayle and Kieron Pollard are in the squad and the West Indies look value to cause a minor upset.
