Ben Stokes' Durham Jets teammates will look to take inspiration from his Ashes heroics as they host the Birmingham Bears in the T20 Blast.

Both teams can still qualify for the quarter-finals of the competition but will need to reverse their poor recent form if they are to do so.

The Bears have slipped to the bottom of the North Group after a hat-trick of defeats and the Jets are only two places and a single point above them after one win in their last seven games.

Durham are favourites but if they are to prevail at the Riverside Stadium their batting unit will need to perform.

D'Arcy Short is the highest runscorer in the Blast for the Jets this season but his 20-year-old opening partner Scott Steel has impressed with two fifties and looks value at to top-score again having done so against Yorkshire with 49 last time out.

In the South Group, second-from-bottom Surrey are home underdogs against fourth-placed Somerset.
