London Spirit Men, bottom of the table in The Hundred last summer, have won four out of four this term but Eoin Morgan's side face a serious test of their trophy credentials against Trent Rockets.

The Rockets have won five of their six matches at Trent Bridge in the first two runnings of The Hundred and they are hot on the heels of the Spirit after four victories in five games in 2022.

Openers Dawid Malan and Alex Hales have been in blistering form for the Rockets, who bounced back from Monday's defeat against Birmingham Phoenix with an excellent home win over Oval Invincibles.

The Invincibles had won their previous three games but fell 25 runs short at Trent Bridge on Wednesday and London Spirit have been weakened by the departure of Australia all-rounder Glenn Maxwell, who took 1-6 from 15 balls and scored 43 not out in last weekend's win over Northern Superchargers.

Trent Rockets Men spinners Tabraiz Shamsi and Samit Patel put the squeeze on the Invincibles in the midweek fixture at Trent Bridge and Rockets Women leg-spinner Alana King could have a big role to play against the Spirit.

The Australia international conceded just eight runs off 20 balls in her first appearance in Nottingham as the Invincibles chased down 113 with just one delivery to spare.

King had a spectacular Hundred debut, taking 4-15 including a hat-trick against Manchester Originals, having earlier struck an unbeaten 19 off just nine balls, and she is a big price to be the Match Hero against London, who have lost their first two matches.
