Namibia slipped to a frustrating five-wicket defeat to the Netherlands in their second T20 World Cup clash on Tuesday but they are still in the mix to reach the Super 12 phase, which starts on Saturday.

Thursday features the final two matches in Group A and Namibia are currently second in the section behind the Dutch but ahead of Sri Lanka due to their superior net run rate.

Victory in their final game over strugglers United Arab Emirates should see them through to the Super 12s and one man they will be looking to for inspiration is all-rounder Jan Frylinck.

Namibia struggled to accelerate against the Dutch but Frylinck struck 43 from 48 balls following a knock of 44 from 28 deliveries against Sri Lanka.

He was named man of the match against the Lankans, having also taken 2-26 with the ball, and he could have a huge say against the UAE.

Earlier in the day, Sri Lanka take on section leaders Netherlands knowing that they will likely have to record a big win to avoid an embarrassing exit after their opening defeat to Namibia left them playing catch-up.
