Sixers v Strikers preview

Sydney Sixers closed out a six-run Big Bash win over Perth Scorchers on Sunday, moving them to within a point of the table-topping Scorchers, and they are 4-6 to make it eight victories out of 12 when they host Adelaide Strikers on Tuesday.

The Strikers are in the hunt for the end-of-season playoffs although they suffered a disappointing home defeat to struggling Brisbane Heat on Saturday.

Veteran Chris Lynn has left the Big Bash after piling up 416 runs in 11 innings for Adelaide but the Strikers still have a dangerous top order including in-form opener Matthew Short and Australia internationals Travis Head and Alex Carey.

At 7-1, though, Isle of Wight-born Adam Hose looks too big in the top-runscorer market. The Warwickshire batsman is Adelaide's third-highest runscorer this season and his last six scores have been 19, 21, 33, 38, five and 56 not out.
