Sunday's Big Bash previews

Matt Renshaw was the Brisbane Heat hero when they beat Melbourne Stars by three wickets in a Big Bash thriller on Monday and he could have a big impact in Sunday's reverse fixture between the teams.

Renshaw scored an unbeaten 90 off 56 balls, scooping a decisive boundary off the final ball of the 20th over to see the Heat home after earlier dismissing Stars opener Thomas Rogers.

The Middlesbrough-born Australia Test batsman produced another fine all-round performance in Friday's win over Hobart Hurricanes as he top-scored with 41 and took 1-12 from three miserly overs of off-spin.

The 12-1 about Renshaw being named player of the match is worth a bet and Beau Webster also looks value to top-score for the struggling Stars.

Webster's last three scores were 36 (against the Heat), 29 and 27 and he smashed 78 off 51 balls against a classy Sydney Sixers attack on Boxing Day.

In Sunday's second game, defending champions Perth Scorchers are hot favourites to beat Melbourne Renegades.

The Scorchers made it ten wins out of 13 this season when skittling Adelaide Strikers for 92 on Friday and they will want to extend their fine form going into the playoffs.
