Having finished rock bottom of the men's standings in The Hundred last year, London Spirit are already looking sharper in 2022 and are one of only two sides to have started the campaign with back-to-back wins.

After edging Oval Invincibles by three runs in their opener, Spirit put Manchester Originals to the sword by 52 runs on Monday and they could be a value bet to see off reigning champions Southern Brave.

That would be a real statement win but Spirit are more than capable of pulling it off, especially as Brave faltered on Wednesday in a heavy 53-run defeat to Birmingham Phoenix.

Captain Eoin Morgan is leading by example for London Spirit with 84 runs scored and his team are a great odds-against selection.

In The Hundred women's, London Spirit may not have as much success this season given that key batter Heather Knight is injured and top-order star Tammy Beaumont has left for Welsh Fire.

Their opening opponents Southern Brave were formidable in the regular season last year, winning seven of their eight matches, and Sophia Dunkley was key to their success, firing 244 runs in the tournament.

But the England international has looked shaky for her country recently, posting scores of 17, one, 19, 19 and eight in the recent Twenty20 tournament at the Commonwealth Games.

Dunkley is averaging only 17.33 in T20 internationals this year and could take time to find her feet in the 100-ball tournament for Brave. Back her to fall short of her runs line of 21.5.
