Match preview

Australia were comprehensive winners of this month's three-match T20 series in South Africa, so it is understandable to see them chalked up as 4-9 favourites to draw first blood in the pair's ODI series in Paarl.

The Aussies beat the Proteas by 107 runs in the first of those contests and 97 in the final clash to record a 2-1 series triumph, bowling out their hosts for under 100 on both occasions.

David Warner led the way with two fifties in a 128-run series haul but Steve Smith was not far behind, scoring 104 runs, and was in supreme touch in January's ODIs against India with scores of 98 and 131 in two knocks. He could lead Australia's charge.
