Skipper Colin Ingram can show way for Glamorgan
Gutsy Gloucestershire may add to Surrey's struggles
Glamorgan v Middlesex
Sky Sports Cricket, 2pm Wednesday
Glamorgan and Middlesex put on a cracking One-Day Cup contest in Cardiff containing 560 runs two years ago and more of the same could be on the cards in their televised South Group clash at Sophia Gardens.
The hosts have lost both their games so far to Gloucestershire and Somerset but they made 264 batting first at home to the Gladiators and 289 in pursuit of the Cidermen's 372-7 at Taunton on Sunday.
Middlesex made 313-9 on the way to beating Kent at Radlett by 70 runs on Sunday and began their campaign, at the same venue, with a six-wicket loss to Essex despite making 250.
The best-value bet looks to be skipper Colin Ingram to top score for Glamorgan at 7-2.
Ingram made 45 against Gloucestershire and 85 against Somerset, his first outings since a stint in the Pakistan Super League in March, and he was the leading compiler in last year's 50-over tournament with 564 runs when cracking three centuries and two fifties, one of which was in defeat to Middlesex. He also made two tons in Glamorgan's surge to T20 Blast finals day. Two years ago against Middlesex, his magnificent 85 was in vain.
Elsewhere on a near-full coupon, Gloucestershire are worth a wager at 15-11 to make it three wins out of three at The Oval and send Surrey spinning to a third defeat.
As well as Gloucestershire's game success over Glamorgan, Chris Dent's charges have ground out a four-wicket victory over Essex chasing 288.
Surrey still possess the abundance of talent that has taken them to three straight Lord's 50-over finals. However, they were skittled for 129 by Somerset on Friday at their Kennington base and while they were a true test for Hampshire at the Rose Bowl in Monday's rain-affected TV game, morale may have been sapped further by fielding and bowling lapses in the final overs.
Pakistan are a standout 9-2 with bet365 to win the first Test with England that begins at Lord's tomorrow after their left-arm pace ace Mohammad Amir was declared fit, following knee niggles, yesterday.
The Three Lions are 1-2 to prevail and, with occasional light showers forecast across the five days, the draw is a general 9-2.
