Match preview

Two of the strongest teams in the early stages of this year's Indian Premier League face off when the Rajasthan Royals take on the Gujarat Titans.

Both teams have won three of their opening four games with the Royals topping the IPL standings due to a impressive +0.951 net run rate.

Rajasthan’s bowling attack has been key to their success, limiting their opponents to fewer than 175 runs in all four games. Yuzvendra Chahal tops the wickets column with 11 scalps from 16 overs and rookie Kuldeep Sen has also caught the eye alongside veteran Trent Boult.

They could cause plenty of issues for a Gujarat batting lineup that has looked overreliant on Shubman Gill and captain Hardik Pandya.

The Royals, who boast a more balanced and formidable batting order which includes Jos Buttler, Shimron Hetmyer and Sanju Samson, are fancied to pick up another win to bolster their position at the top of the tree.
