Match preview

Punjab Kings kept themselves on the coattails of the IPL's pacesetters with victory over Chennai Super Kings last time out and they have a chance to peg back impressive first-season side Lucknow Super Giants when the two meet in Pune.

KL Rahul has been Lucknow's standout performer with only Jos Buttler scoring more runs in this year’s competition than the India opener. Stopping him will be key to Punjab’s chances but they boast some power-hitters of their own.

Shikhar Dhawan cracked an unbeaten 88 in the win over Chennai and is a short price to lead the Kings' charge against the Super Giants.

However England all-rounder Liam Livingstone is also a likely candidate to top-score and looks a more tempting wager at the prices.

Livingstone has top-scored in three of Punjab’s eight games so far, once more than Dhawan has, and his 19 from seven balls against the Super Kings demonstrated a glimpse of his power striking.
