Durham's appointment of Australia's Cameron Bancroft as captain is yielding positive results in the One-Day Cup and the hosts look a big price to upset Lancashire in Gosforth.

A three-wicket win away to Derbyshire made it four victories out of five for Durham in the North Group and, while Lancashire must be respected after three wins on the trot they are worth opposing at the prices.

Bancroft scored centuries in Durham's first two wins but the runscoring burden is being shared around with Alex Lees hitting three half-centuries in five innings and Michael Richardson notching a century and a fifty in his three appearances.

Holders Hampshire were soundly beaten by Essex at Chelmsford on Sunday but they can make amends against a depleted Surrey side at The Oval.

The hosts are without England trio Jason Roy, Liam Plunkett and Tom Curran, as well as the injured Ollie Pope, Rikki Clarke, Jade Dernbach and Scott Borthwick.

Surrey's 50-over displays this summer have been poor, with four defeats in five South Group matches including a 64-run loss at fellow strugglers Glamorgan on Sunday.

Ben Foakes (263 runs in five innings) has received precious little support from the rest of the Surrey batsmen and Rory Burns's side were bowled out for 88 in their opener against Gloucestershire.
