Match preview
A defeat of the kind India suffered in their second one-day international with New Zealand is difficult to recover from and the Black Caps could wrap up a 3-0 series whitewash at the Bay Oval.
India put on an eighth-wicket partnership of 76 in the second ODI as they recovered from 153-7 to 274 all out, but the Kiwis once again prevailed despite the absence of key players.
With no Kane Williamson in the side, Ross Taylor has shone brightest with the bat for New Zealand, scoring unbeaten totals of 109 and 73 in the first two ODIs.
He scored a 37-ball 54 featuring eight boundaries in New Zealand's biggest win at the Bay Oval against Sri Lanka a year ago and impressed with 350 runs at last summer's World Cup.
Backing Taylor to surpass his runs line of 34.5 looks a solid bet.
