New Zealand's Test team secured a colossal 2-1 series victory away to Pakistan at the beginning of the month and can continue their fine form with a dominant home performance against struggling Sri Lanka.

The Black Caps are 2-7 to win the two-Test series and the same price to win the opening Test which starts at Wellington’s Basin Reserve this evening.

The win in the UAE cemented New Zealand as one of the finest teams in the longest format of the game and they are decent value to record a 2-0 victory.

The Lankans arrive in Wellington on the back of a disastrous 3-0 home defeat to England and their batsman are likely to struggle to deal with Kiwi quicks Tim Southee, Trent Boult and Neil Wagner.
