Melbourne Stars v Adelaide Strikers preview

Adelaide Strikers recorded their second impressive win in a row on Tuesday and they should be backed to make it three wins on the bounce when they face the Melbourne Stars.

The Strikers set a record for the highest run-chase in Big Bash history against the Hobart Hurricanes last week before following up with a 20-run win over the Melbourne Renegades.

Their next opponents, the Stars, are rock-bottom of the table after losing seven of their first nine games this season.

The Stars did get the better of Adelaide the last time these sides met but the Strikers look a much-improved unit going into the rematch, particularly with the bat.

They have managed back-to-back totals of over 200 and anything in that ballpark should see them follow up with another success as their playoff push gathers pace.

Veteran Chris Lynn has hit three straight half-centuries and his batting looks likely to be the catalyst for another success for Adelaide.
