Hurricanes v Stars
BT Sport 2, 4.45am Monday

Jofra Archer will be eligible to play for England in time for the World Cup in June and the Barbados-born all-rounder produced another thrilling display in Hobart Hurricanes' opening win over Brisbane Heat.

He bowled a miserly two-over spell before returning to dismiss Ben Cutting, whose quickfire 58 had got the Heat back in the hunt, and Mark Steketee.

Archer's fellow bowlers also impressed with James Faulkner claiming 3-25 and spinners Clive Rose and Johan Botha putting the squeeze on during the middle overs.

With Botha, Faulkner and Archer in the side, Hobart have great batting depth but that may not be tested regularly as Australia internationals D'Arcy Short, Matthew Wade, Alex Doolan, Ben McDermott and George Bailey form a solid top five.

The Hurricanes are worth backing to see off Melbourne Stars, who came up well short in a rain-affected defeat to Sydney Thunder with captain Glenn Maxwell dismissed for a four-ball duck.

Recommendation
Hobart Hurricanes
2pts 4-5 general
