Pakistan's superb showings in the recent four-match Tests have shown the cricketing public that non-Ashes contests can be just as captivating as the battle for the urn, but they may stuggle to match England in the one-day series which begins at the Rose Bowl in Southampton today.

The tourists have shown typical unpredictability, atypical resolve and swathes of variety that contributed to an attacking, fast-paced Test skirmish which left fans craving more.
The drawn Test series was denied a fitting fifth-Test finale, but under the new Super Series points system focus now shifts to a five-match ODI contest.
