Hobart Hurricanes v Melbourne Stars
BT Sport 2, 8.30am Thursday
Hobart Hurricanes were the outstanding team in the league stage of this season's Big Bash and they can make home advantage count in their semi-final against Melbourne Stars.

The Hurricanes routed Perth Scorchers by 71 runs at this stage of last season's competition and openers D'Arcy Short and Matthew Wade fired them to ten wins in 14 league games this term.

Short and Wade are the two leading runscorers in the Bash this season and on the rare occasions that they fail, Ben McDermott and George Bailey tend to step up to the plate.

The Hurricanes won both league meetings with the Stars comfortably, restricting their opponents to 155-5 off 20 overs in Hobart in December and bowling them out for 126 in last month's reverse fixture in Melbourne.

The Stars stumbled over the line to nick fourth place but they face an extremely consistent Hurricanes side who are unbeaten at their Blundstone Arena base this season and boosted by the return to fitness of all-rounder James Faulkner.
