England Women had to scrap hard to take a 2-0 lead in their five-ODI series against New Zealand on Sunday, pinching a 13-run win on the DLS method.

They were grateful for a 51-run stand for the last wicket between Danni Wyatt and number 11 Tash Farrant but top-order star Tammy Beaumont could do the damage in the third ODI in Leicester.

Beaumont hit three crisp boundaries off her first five deliveries on Sunday before being bowled by Sophie Devine.

Her previous four ODI scores against New Zealand this year were 44, 88 not out, 72 not out and 71 and she made 114 against Australia in her last one-day innings at Grace Road.
