Match preview
After an unconvincing performance in their opening match of their one-day international series with South Africa, England bounced back with a 118-run thrashing of the Proteas in a truncated affair last time out, setting up a series decider at Headingley.
England lost the first ODI between the sides by 62 runs, having looked lethargic in the midst of a jam-packed summer. But they turned on the style in the second game at Old Trafford, where rain meant the match was limited to 29 overs per side.
After posting a mediocre total of 201, England knew they were at risk of losing the series. But their bowlers put on a show to bowl South Africa out for a paltry 83, having been reduced to 6-4 at one stage.
And at the centre of the action once again was left-arm seamer Reece Topley, who is enjoying a great summer of cricket.
Topley took 2-17 last time out, dismissing in-form Rassie van der Dussen and top-order batsman Janneman Malan for ducks. And in his four limited-overs matches before that, he claimed 3-35, 6-24, 0-22 and 3-22.
Priced at a shade of odds-against, Topley looks a fine bet to take two or more wickets at Headingley.
England impressed with the ball at Old Trafford on Friday, but South Africa also put in a pretty decent bowling performance with Jos Buttler's side failing to bat their overs for the fifth game in a row.
One player who put in another good shift with the ball for the Proteas was Anrich Nortje, who finished with figures of 2-53 having claimed four scalps in the first match of the series.
His white-ball game time has been fairly limited in the last year or so but Nortje also showed moments of promise in South Africa's recent T20 series with India, dismissing Ishan Kishan and going for only 21 runs in his spell in the penultimate match.
A similar price to Topley, Nortje is also worth a bet to take a couple of wickets in conditions expected to aid the faster bowlers.
