Derbyshire Falcons v Leicestershire Foxes
Sky Sports Cricket, 7pm Thursday

Just four points separate the eight teams chasing T20 Blast North Group leaders Lancashire, and Derbyshire Falcons can boost their chances of a quarter-final spot with a home win over Leicestershire Foxes.

Worcestershire's Blast triumph last summer left Derbyshire as the only county never to have reached Finals Day in the domestic Twenty20 competition.

However, the Falcons have been playing some fine cricket in recent Blast outings, chasing down 181 with ease to beat Northamptonshire, thumping Yorkshire at Headingley, and beating holders Worcestershire on Tuesday thanks to an innings of 92 from captain Billy Godleman.

Luis Reece (two), Wayne Madsen (two) and Leus du Plooy have also contributed half-centuries in Derbyshire's last four games and, with the weather forecast looking promising, the in-form hosts can rack up another win.

Leicestershire are also in good nick with three victories in their last four completed matches but they were saved by the rain last time out after crawling to 137-9 off 20 overs against Northamptonshire.

South Group leaders Sussex are 4-5 for an away win over Surrey, the only team to take a point off the Sharks this season.

The teams played out a low-scoring tie at Hove but since then Sussex's bowlers have been outstanding, setting up five wins in a row with a bit of help from batsmen Luke Wright, Phil Salt and Alex Carey.

Worcestershire are no bigger than 4-6 to win at Durham but the Rapids look short enough at those odds against a home side featuring Australia stars D'Arcy Short and Peter Handscomb.
