Sunrisers Hyderabad's five-match winning streak in the IPL came to an end in dramatic fashion on Wednesday as South African youngster Marco Jansen conceded four sixes in the final over of their five-wicket defeat to Gujarat.

The Sunrisers, led by the phlegmatic Kane Williamson, are unlikely to go to pieces after that setback, however, and they should be confident of seeing off struggling opponents Chennai Super Kings.

Defending champions Chennai have lost six of their first eight games and they needed a stunning late blitz from veteran MS Dhoni to seal a tense three-wicket win over bottom side Mumbai.

The Super Kings were well beaten in their first meeting of the season with Hyderabad as Abhishek Sharma's 50-ball 75 powered the Sunrisers to an eight-wicket win.

The 21-year-old opener continues to impress, hitting three sixes off ace Gujarat spinner Rashid Khan in an innings of 65 last time out, and he is a tempting bet to top-score for his team.

The first game of the day on Sunday pits Delhi Capitals against Lucknow Super Giants at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium. Delhi, with Australia all-rounder Mitchell Marsh back in action after recovering from Covid-19, will be hoping to follow up Thursday's four-wicket win over Kolkata.
