D'Arcy Short is value to silence the Thunder
Hurricanes' bowlers look full of menace
Hobart Hurricanes v Sydney Thunder
BT Sport 2, 8.15am Friday
Blundstone Arena in Hobart hosts an early top-of-the-table clash in the Big Bash as the Hurricanes welcome a star-studded Sydney Thunder side.
Both teams have won their first two matches in impressive style and the Hurricanes' bowlers look full of menace, dismissing Brisbane Heat for 144 and restricting Melbourne Stars to a below-par 155-5.
The Hobart attack should face a tougher test against the Thunder with England's Jos Buttler buzzing after his innings of 63 off 37 balls in the Sydney derby win over the Sixers.
However, the Hurricanes have an in-form opener of their own in hard-hitting Aussie D'Arcy Short, who scored a mature 67 in the victory over the Heat and blazed 34 off 22 balls to kickstart a successful run-chase against the Stars. The left-hander looks too big at 3-1 to top-score for the hosts.
Recommendation
D Short top Hurricanes runscorer
1pt 3-1 Hills
