County Championship Division Two match betting preview, tips and start time

Poor weather is likely to hamper Glamorgan’s impressive start to the County Championship Division Two season when the Welsh side host Derbyshire in Swansea.

However, the forecast looks a little better for Sussex’s clash with Gloucestershire at Arundel and the hosts are worth backing to claim a first-innings lead.

As visitors, Gloucestershire can ask Sussex to bat first if conditions appear to suit their bowlers and the arrival of Australian paceman Chadd Sayers should pep up their attack.

Gloucestershire’s batting has been solid in the Championship this season. They have claimed first-innings leads in three of their four matches, posting 463 against Glamorgan, and the only exception came against leaders and title favourites Lancashire.

Sussex have been piling up some big totals but they often rely on their lower-order getting them out of trouble – they recovered from 68-6 to post 422 against Northants – so they are worth taking on at the prices.
