Somerset prised the One-Day Cup crown from Hampshire's grasp and they can put pressure on their south-coast counterparts at the top of County Championship Division One with victory away to Surrey.

Jason Kerr's side have won three of their four matches in the competition this season, with their other assignment, a home game with Surrey, being abandoned as a draw.

They were in a strong position in that clash, blasting a first-innings 398 and reducing the visitors to 255-8 in their second stint at the crease.

Somerset have one of the division's in-form bowlers at their disposal in Lewis Gregory, who has 24 wickets this term and claimed five scalps in the defeat of Warwickshire last time out.

He and Jack Leach, who took six wickets in the last meeting with Surrey, will be key to breaking down the oppostion's strong top order.

Seventh-placed Warwickshire are 4-6 to beat Division One basement boys Nottinghamshire in a bottom-of-the-table clash. The teams have only one win between them.

Unbeaten Yorkshire are 8-11 to beat Essex at Headingley in the other top-flight encounter.
