Chennai Super Kings v Kolkata Knight Riders
MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai

Spin bowlers dominated the opening game of the IPL season at the MA Chidambaram Stadium as Chennai Super Kings bowled out Bangalore for just 70 and the slow bowlers could hold the key to Chennai's clash with highflying Kolkata Knight Riders.

Both team could line up with a trio of experienced international spinners as Chennai's Harbhajan Singh, Ravindra Jadeja and Imran Tahir go head-to-head with Sunil Narine, Kuldeep Yadav and Piyush Chawla.

And Kolkata's Narine looks overpriced at 12-1 to be man of the match given that he could play crucial roles in both innings of a tight contest.

The West Indian has turned himself into a genuine Twenty20 all-rounder, as he proved in the Knight Riders' convincing eight-wicket win over Rajasthan on Sunday.

Narine's four overs cost just 22 runs before he kickstarted the run-chase with a typically flamboyant 47 off 25 balls.

Chennai will be keen to test Chris Lynn's perceived weakness against spin in the Powerplay overs but that could play into the hands of Lynn's opening partner Narine, who took 22 runs off the second over of the innings, bowled by Royals off-spinner Krishnappa Gowtham, on Sunday.

Recommendation
S Narine to be man of the match
1pt 12-1 Coral, Ladbrokes
