After defeats to Adelaide Strikers and Hobart Hurricanes, Brisbane Heat are bottom of the Big Bash table but bookmakers rate them favourites for a home win over Sydney Sixers.

The Heat are desperate for more substantial contributions from their top-order batsmen. They were bowled out for 146 against the Strikers and their 144 all out against the Hurricanes was chiefly thanks to number six Ben Cutting, who struck 58 off 32 balls.

The Sixers have won two and lost two this season, with middle-order batsman Jordan Silk and England all-rounder Tom Curran the star performers, but they will be wary of Brisbane skipper Chris Lynn.

The hard-hitting number three couldn't get to grips with a tricky pitch last time out, crawling to 29 off 37 balls against the Hurricanes.

However, Lynn should be a different proposition at the Gabba, where he made 33 off 20 against Adelaide and 37 off 20 for Australia against India in a Twenty20 international in November.
