Pakistan had New Zealand's measure in last week's T20 encounters and bookmakers are expecting them to confirm their superiority in three one-day internationals over the next five days.

The Men in Green clinched a 3-0 T20 clean sweep in authoritative fashion with a 47-run victory on Sunday and New Zealand's chances of gaining revenge in the 50-over bouts have been dealt a significant blow with the loss of dynamic all-rounder Corey Anderson to injury. The Kiwis are also sweating on the fitness of leg-spinner Todd Astle.

They do, however, still possess the brilliant batting talents of skipper Kane Williamson, who, after a slow start to the tour, looks to be finding top gear.

Williamson was responsible for more than half of New Zealand's runs in the final T20 clash and hit 37 from 34 balls in the preceding game. He scored 261 runs at an average of 52.2 with one century and a fifty when the sides met in New Zealand in January and he is the most likely candidate to stop Pakistan in their tracks.

Recommendation
K Williamson top New Zealand runscorer
2pts 5-2 general
