Six County Championship matches start today with Derbyshire hosting Northamptonshire in a potential cracker in the T20 Blast.

Both teams recorded excellent victories on Friday with Derbyshire chasing down 186 to beat Worcestershire and Northants restricting Birmingham to 86-8 in 16 overs.

Derbyshire’s batting can be explosive with New Zealand internationals Hamish Rutherford and Jimmy Neesham featuring in an exciting top order. Northants successfully chased 196 to win the reverse fixture and, with a fair weather forecast for Chesterfield, Coral’s total fours line of 25.5 could be eclipsed.
