Northamptonshire and Birmingham have both won six of their 11 T20 Blast matches this summer and bookmakers are struggling to split the pair for tonight’s North Group clash.

Northants won the reverse fixture at Edgbaston thanks to a miserly bowling performance that restricted Birmingham to 86-8 in a rain-reduced 16 overs.

The Bears also lost their next two games after spectacular batting collapses against Yorkshire and Worcestershire but they defeated Leicestershire convincingly on Sunday and whoever wins tonight’s game at Northampton will seal their place in the quarter-finals.
