Hoffenheim v Leipzig
A significant 2-1 defeat of Borussia Dortmund before the international break suggested Leipzig have turned a corner under manager Jesse Marsch and they now look genuine contenders for a top-four berth.
Deploying Christopher Nkunku in a more advanced roles seems to be paying off for Marsch's men, who are unbeaten in their last five fixtures with the Frenchman netting in their last two.
And their improved attacking performances should stand them in good stead going into this weekend's Bundesliga clash at Hoffenheim, who lost their last game 2-0 to lowly Bochum and are locked in mid-table obscurity.
The hosts will also be without key marksman Andrej Kramaric, who is sidelined along with other important talents Sebastian Rudy and Christoph Baumgartner. At a shades of odds-on, Leipzig look a solid bet.
Lazio v Juventus
Serie A's headline fixture this weekend is at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome as top-three hopefuls Lazio lock horns with struggling Juventus.
Although they have won all four of their matches in the Champions League this term, Juve are on the back foot domestically, managing only one win in their last four Serie A assignments.
And the Old Lady should be wary of this week's Rome-based opponents who have the best home record in the division.
Lazio have won five of their six home fixtures in the league this season, drawing the other, and netting 18 goals in the process.
They will be missing key forward Ciro Immobile this week but that is counterbalanced by Paulo Dybala's presence on the bench for Juve and, at the prices, Lazio represent the best value in this contest.
Rennes v Montpellier
Only three points separate Rennes and Montpellier in the Ligue 1 standings going into this weekend's fixtures and youth has been at the core of the success stories for both teams.
In Europe's top five leagues, only Barcelona (2,441) have given more minutes to players born in the 21st century this season than Montpellier (2,282), while Rennes seem to have stumbled across another exciting starlet despite losing Eduoard Camavinga this year and having been without Jeremy Doku through injury.
Kamaldeen Sulemana, 19, has already bagged four goals and two assists in 13 Ligue 1 appearances this term, and was named October's Young Player of the Month.
He scored ten times and laid on a further four assists for Nordsjaelland in the Danish Superliga last term as well and looks a value bet to score at any time in this game.
