Preview

Dillian Whyte was scheduled to top this Matchroom Boxing bill, but pulled out of his fight with Otto Wallin with a shoulder injury.

In his absence, Chantelle Cameron is the headline act as part of a Road to Unification female light-welterweight tournament. The undefeated Cameron is putting her WBC title on the line against reigning IBF title holder Mary McGee.

The other two contenders, Kali Reis and Jessica Camara, face off in Manchester in three weeks and the winner of that bout will take on the victor of this match-up to unify the division.

Cameron should be strong enough to progress beyond McGee, with the American potentially suffering from ring rust having fought just once in the last 22 months.

Before the women take centre stage, light-heavyweight Craig Richards will be looking to put his loss in a world title fight last time out behind him.

Nine of the Croydon-born bruiser’s wins have come by way of knockout and he is fancied to rack up another against Marek Matyja. The Pole has never fought outside his home country and Richards is a cut above the company he has been keeping.
