Big-fight preview

Two unbeaten British cruiserweights get in on when Richard Riakporhe and Deion Jumah clash at Wembley Arena.

Riakporhe has created a good impression in his 13 professional wins, including solid victories over Jack Massey, Tommy McCarthy and Chris Billam-Smith.

The Midnight Train has held the British and Commonwealth cruiserweight crowns and this looks the final domestic challenge before he moves on to the world scene.

Jumah is a slick fighter with a good jab and the Ghost showed his skill when scaring off the challenge of former Commonwealth cruiser champ Wadi Camacho in 2019. The Hammersmith hitter also has a good win over Sam Hyde and Jumah will bring the confidence of an unbeaten fighter.

However, the Ghost has endured large periods of inactivity in his career, managing just 14 fights since turning pro in 2013.

There are some legitimate reasons for those spells out of the ring, including a bout of pericarditis and a shoulder injury, but records like that should always be treated with caution.

It's also worth considering that this is his first big-time fight night and he has to show he can handle the occasion.

There are too many question marks around Jumah to consider an upset on Saturday night and the Hammersmith hitter could struggle to handle the power of the Walworth warrior.

The Midnight train is 23-20 to steam into world title contention with a stoppage victory and that looks a knockout bet.
