Mairis Briedis's time as IBF world cruiserweight champion may be running out but it's unlikely to come to an end against Jai Opetaia.

Briedis goes down under to take on the unbeaten Aussie, but Opetaia has never mixed it with an opponent of the Latvian's class.

The Latvian Punisher is the only boxer to come close to beating the brilliant Oleksandr Usyk and he remains a good operator at the age of 37.

Opetaia has ten years on his experienced opponent, he can count on home advantage and the southpaw has made a good impression in his 21 career fights.

However, boxing rings around the likes of Benjamin Kelleher is a world away from a clash with Briedis and the Aussie is untested at this level.
