Chris Bourke takes on Marc Leach for the vacant British super-bantamweight title at York Hall on Friday night in what should be an intriguing clash between two tricky southpaws.

Bourke holds the WBC International title after defeating Michael Ramabeletsa in December 2020 and subsequently retained the belt with a unanimous decision victory over James Beech last July.

His opponent Leach picked up the biggest win of his career with a shock victory over Olympian Qais Ashfaq in October 2020 and has since followed that up with a pair of victories, confirming his status as mandatory challenger for the British belt.

Six of Bourke's ten wins have come by way of knockout and the Streatham fighter’s power edge may just give him the advantage.

However, Leach will be no pushover and it looks likely that this bout will go the distance with Bourke fancied to win on the judges' scorecards.
