Artur Beterbiev puts his WBC and IBF light-heavyweight titles on the line against Marcus Browne in Montreal in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The Russian has developed a fearsome reputation and he is unbeaten in a 16-fight professional career.

All 16 of those victories have come via stoppage and his punching power is there for all to see. There are some decent names on the 36-year-old's card, with the likes of Callum Johnson and Oleksandr Gvozdyk being bowled over by the Russian. However, it hasn't been all plain sailing.

Beterbiev was floored by Johnson in the first defence of his IBF title, but recovered to knock out the Brit in the fourth round. And the Russian was behind against Gvozdyk, before hammering the Nail and stopping him in the tenth round.

Browne has a good win over Badou Jack in 2019 on his record, but he was then beaten by Jean Pascal later that year and he has entered the ring just once since.

The New Jersey man has never been stopped in a 25-fight career, but he has been dropped to the canvas three times and that doesn't bode well against the big-hitting Beterbiev.

Browne maybe able to keep the Russian at bay in the early rounds, but Beterbiev can wear him down as the fight develops and his raw power could be more influential the longer the bout goes on.

With that in mind, backing the Russian to win in rounds seven to 12 looks a fair bet.
