The BHA’s decision to suspend racing last week in the wake of horses testing positive for equine influenza caused much hubbub within our industry and outside of it too.

Initially much praise was heaped upon the sport’s governing body as measures were put in place to stop the spread of the virus.

However, with no racing to occupy them some trainers moved on to one of their other favourite topics: moaning about the BHA.
