Winners in waiting? Eyecatchers to take out of the Cheltenham Festival
After four days of top-class racing at Cheltenham, seven Racing Post reporters have selected a horse to follow from the 2020 festival.
The Big Breakaway was my big hope for the meeting, so it was disappointing he could only manage fourth in the Ballymore. That said, it was a run that did not put me off continuing to follow him for the rest of the season and beyond. I am firmly of the opinion the best is yet to come from this strapping five-year-old, likely when he tackles fences which you would assume will be next season. He was outpaced a fair way from home in the Ballymore, and my hope is next season he is contesting the RSA before going on to be a Gold Cup contender in 2022.
