Next Saturday's Darley Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket is shaping up to be a cracker and one of the leading contenders, Sangarius, will have a new partner in the saddle in William Buick.

The Sir Michael Stoute-trained colt, unbeaten in both starts so far, is a general 4-1 shot for the Group 1 and comes into the race off the back of wins at Newmarket and in the Listed Flying Scotsman Stakes at Doncaster last time.

Both James Doyle and Ryan Moore have ridden the son of Kingman so far, but following a pleasing piece of work on Saturday, Buick will be the man aboard in the Dewhurst.
