Fergal O'Brien is planning to work back from Newbury's Greatwood Gold Cup with Paint The Dream, who holds an entry in Saturday's Grade 2 Silviniaco Conti Chase at Kempton (2.05).

The nine-year-old is one of six possibles for the race, with the Paul Nicholls pair Pic D'Orhy and Saint Calvados also entered.

Paint The Dream cruised to success in a 2m4f handicap chase at Newbury's Coral Gold Cup meeting in November and O’Brien said: "He'll school on Tuesday morning, but he's in good form and it'll be a good run for him.

"Although he's best around Newbury we think he'll do well at Kempton so the best way to find that out is to run him.

"He's high up the handicap and these are the races he has to go for, but we're sort of caught between a rock and a hard place. We'd like to get him back to Newbury for the Greatwood Gold Cup, which he won last year – it's the end target for him this season."

Coole Cody, who beat Saint Calvados in the 1965 Chase at Ascot in November, and Betfair Chase fourth Clondaw Castle are also possible runners, as is Angels Breath, who hasn't raced since December 2019 and has subsequently moved to Sam Thomas from Nicky Henderson.

The Lanzarote Hurdle (2.40) has attracted 27 entries, including the Philip Hobbs-trained Camprond and the Nicholls pair Outlaw Peter and Red Risk.

Accidental Rebel takes Warwick chance

O'Brien could also be represented by Accidental Rebel in the Grade 2 Ballymore Leamington Novices' Hurdle at Warwick (2.25).

The nine-year-old landed the Grade 2 Persian War at Chepstow in October before being taken out of the Grade 1 Challow Hurdle at Newbury last month.

O’Brien said: "Accidental Rebel is getting on fine and he'll want better ground than soft because that's why we took him out of the Challow Hurdle.

"We'll have to see how it is, but he has to improve a bit before we go there. If the ground was good at Newbury then we would have run, but there was so much rain and we didn't even consider taking a chance and giving him a spin round."

Grade 1 winner Stage Star is one of eight possible runners in the Grade 2 Hampton Chase (1.50) at Warwick, with stablemate Completely Unknown also entered.

Listed winner Galia Des Liteaux holds an entry for the Skelton yard, while the Irish contingent is made up of Minella Crooner, The Goffer and Mahler Mission.

Iwilldoit, who has not raced since winning the 2021 Welsh National, is one of 20 possibles for Warwick's 3m5f Classic Chase (3.00). Threeunderthrufive, Nestor Park, Lord Du Mesnil and Fortescue are other notable entries.
