What's on this week: Thyestes Chase a midweek highlight before Trials Day card
Monday
There is an additional jumps fixture at Plumpton, which sees Sussex National winner Christmas In April return to the course in a four-runner novice handicap chase (2.40), while Morney Wing, Antony and Shanahan's Turn are set to compete in a useful conditional jockeys' veterans' handicap chase (3.40).
Kempton also stages the latest All-Weather Championship fast-track qualifier (2.50).
Off the track, the entries for Cheltenham's Trials Day card will be announced.
Tuesday
Exeter and Newcastle host meetings on Tuesday, but the 2m novice chase at Leicester (1.45) boasts the greatest quality of any race on the day.
Nigel Twiston-Davies, fresh from a Saturday treble, should have a strong hand with Torpillo and Al Dancer entered.
Wednesday
Minella Rocco finished second in the Cheltenham Gold Cup in 2017 but has since regressed and could pop up in a hunter chase at Warwick (3.45), although last season's Foxhunter winner Hazel Hill might be in opposition.
The 1m2f Betway Handicap (2.50) at Lingfield is the pick of the races from the remaining three fixtures.
Thursday
Willie Mullins has won four of the last eight renewals of the Goffs Thyestes Chase and Ireland's champion trainer has a typically strong group of entries for the €100,000 handicap at Gowran Park (3.00).
Gold Cup contender Presenting Percy, smart mare Benie Des Dieux and the long absent Death Duty could clash in the John Mulhern Galmoy Hurdle on the same card (1.50).
Meanwhile, the action in Britain comes from Fakenham, Southwell, Wetherby and Newcastle on a busy day.
Friday
The first day of two at Doncaster is headlined by the Listed Sky Bet Fillies' Juvenile Hurdle (2.25). Alan King won the race last year with Giving Glances and has a leading form contender in Midnights' Gift.
There is also Listed action at Huntingdon, with mares once again in the spotlight. On a card sponsored in its entirety by Pertemps, the £75,000 Lady Protectress Mares' Chase (3.05) is the highlight and could see Maire Banrigh defend her unbeaten record over fences.
Saturday
Cheltenham's Trials Day is always an informative meeting with the festival in mind and superstar stayer Paisley Park is likely to top the billing in the Cleeve Hurdle (3.35).
Away from the Cotswolds, the remaining racing on ITV comes from Doncaster and includes the valuable Sky Bet Handicap Chase (3.15).
Fairyhouse hosts the only action in Ireland, while fans of racing Stateside are well catered for by the Pegasus World Cup at Gulfstream Park.
Sunday
The Limestone Lad Hurdle (1.40) at Naas was used as a Cheltenham prep by subsequent Champion Hurdle winner Espoir D'Allen last season and is the standout contest in Ireland.
It is jump racing only in Britain at Fontwell and Sedgefield.
