What's on this week: Group 1 action at the Curragh before the Shergar Cup
Monday
In a somewhat quieter start to the week following Goodwood and Galway, Kempton, Ripon and Naas provide the afternoon fare with three Flat fixtures.
Windsor and Carlisle take over for the evening, while Cork hosts a seven-race card over jumps in Ireland. Entries for the weekend, including the Shergar Cup contests and Haydock's Rose of Lancaster Stakes, will be revealed.
Tuesday
Newbury hosts an afternoon meeting, with the first race beginning at 2.15, and it opens with an intriguing 6f fillies' maiden. The Berkshire track often hosts informative maidens. Catterick is the other afternoon meeting.
Nottingham and Ripon head the evening fixtures in Britain, while there is an eyecatching card at Roscommon for jumps fans.
Wednesday
Afternoon racing takes place at the picturesque Brighton, where the Brighton Mile Challenge Trophy Handicap (4.00) takes centre stage. Accompanying the East Sussex track in the afternoon is Sligo, Bath and Pontefract.
Yarmouth and Kempton on the all-weather then take over as the two twilight fixtures.
Thursday
Haydock, Brighton and Yarmouth lead the way for afternoon fixtures in Britain and Leopardstown's evening meeting hosts Group action in the form of the GRENKE Finance Ballyroan Stakes (6.55).
Won last year by the talented Eziyra, potential runners include last year's Irish Derby winner Latrobe, the ultra-consistent Who's Steph and the lightly raced Tankerville.
Sandown hosts another twilight meeting alongside Newcastle's all-weather fixture, while there is a seven-race card at Sligo.
Friday
There is Group 1 action at the Curragh with the Keeneland Phoenix Stakes (6.50) taking centre stage. Among the top-quality entries are Coventry Stakes scorer Arizona, Group 2 winner Royal Lytham and the hugely exciting Siskin.
The Group 3 Phoenix Sprint Stakes (7.25) has also attracted high quality entries such as Group 1 hero The Tin Man and runaway Sapphire Stakes winner Soffia.
Thirsk's afternoon meeting is centred around the Class 3 conditions contest, which has attracted some interesting names including last year's Fred Darling heroine Dan's Dream and Feliciana De Vega.
Brighton and Musselburgh also hold the day's earlier meetings, while it is worth keeping an eye on the final fields for the novice and maiden contests at Newmarket's July course in the evening.
Chelmsford lands its usual twilight spot alongside Newmarket and the Curragh.
Saturday
The Dubai Duty Free Shergar Cup meeting at Ascot is the highlight on a busy day across Britain with afternoon meetings at Redcar, Haydock, Chelmsford and Newmarket.
Ascot's six-race card is always hugely popular with spectators and the event has attracted some of the best jockeys across the globe.
There is Listed and Group 3 action at Haydock, courtesy of the Dick Hern and Rose of Lancaster Stakes, while Newmarket's feature contest is the Sweet Solera Stakes (3.45), won last year by German 1,000 Guineas winner Main Edition.
Chelmsford completes the afternoon line-up with three Class 2 contests, while Lingfield and Ayr host meetings later on.
Sunday
The Prix Jacques le Marois at Deauville is the feature contest on show. Won last year by the brilliant Alpha Centauri, this year's renewal could be equally strong.
The exciting King Of Comedy, just touched off by Circus Maximus at Royal Ascot in June, could give John Gosden yet another top-level success in what has been a glorious summer for the Newmarket trainer. The French contingent will undoubtedly be strong, so sit back and prepare for a thriller.
Windsor and Leicester are the afternoon meetings in Britain.
