What's on this week: Cheltenham bonus hunters prepare for Sandown's Imperial Cup
Monday
Wetherby is the sole turf meeting of the day in Britain after passing an 8am inspection.
Leopardstown has a seven-race card and the prospect of Gordon Elliott giving some of his Cheltenham hopes an away day.
Wolverhampton starts on the all-weather at 4.45 with a seven-race card. The Betway Handicap (6.15) is the feature with five runners, including Deal A Dollar, who attempts to give Newmarket trainer David Simcock a fourth winner from his last five runners and rider Jamie Spencer a third success from his last seven rides.
Tuesday
Exeter hopes it is a case of third time lucky, having been blown off course by Storm Ciara and Dennis on consecutive weekends. The racing is followed by its popular Cheltenham preview evening when Philip Hobbs, David Pipe and Paul Nicholls or a stable representative will be on the panel.
Navan is also playing catch-up, having transferred last Saturday's card when the course was unraceable. It features the Grade 3 Flyingbolt Novice Chase (3.40), won last year by Jetz, whose trainer Jessie Harrington has Sizing Pottsie entered.
Newcastle goes jumping with another of the Northern Lights series qualifiers and Southwell finishes the day on the all-weather.
Wednesday
Fontwell is hoping for some respite from the rain as the West Sussex track was waterlogged at the weekend. Catterick has no such problems and Clonmel races over jumps in Ireland.
Lingfield, in the afternoon, and Kempton, in the evening, provide six hours of Flat racing on the all-weather with the "Road To The Kentucky Derby" Conditions Stakes (7.15), a race to note having been won by Gronkowski two years ago and last year by Jahbath, who went on to contest the UAE Derby and beat Spanish Mission, who later won the Group 3 Bahrain Trophy at Newmarket's July meeting.
Thursday
Carlisle, Thurles and Wincanton race over jumps with Flat racing at Southwell in the afternoon and Newcastle in the evening.
Carlisle, holding more Northern Lights series qualifiers, is another track hoping for some drier weather as the chase course remained waterlogged in places at the weekend.
Friday
The armed forces will be hoping the weather does not beat them again at Sandown, having lost the Royal Artillery Gold Cup card there three weeks ago. The Grand Military Gold Cup (3.35) is the feature with last year's winner Le Reve and Rathlin Rose, successful in 2017, among the 14 entries.
Leicester and Ffos Las also race over jumps before the evening double act of Wolverhampton and Dundalk entertains on the all-weather.
Saturday
New race sponsors Paddy Power have put the pep back into the Imperial Cup at Sandown, resurrecting a bonus for going on to win at the Cheltenham Festival next week. That £100,000 should produce a big field for this year's handicap hurdle at 2.30.
Hereford holds its Ladies' Day meeting and Ayr, in Scotland, and Gowran Park, in Ireland, add to the jumping action.
Wolverhampton reminds us the Flat turf season starts later this month as it holds a Lincoln Trial (1.35) as well as the latest fast-track qualifier for the Good Friday finals in the shape of the Bombardier British Hopped Amber Beer Lady Wulfruna Stakes, a Listed race at 2.45.
Chelmsford also has a fast-track qualifier on its evening card with the Bet totetrifecta At Totesport.com Conditions Stakes (7.30).
Sunday
There is a special meeting, celebrating International Women's Day, at Southwell restricted to female riders and consists of four races on the Flat and four jump races.
Warwick holds its countryside day and Naas races in Ireland.
