Monday

Former Group 3 winner Mighty Gurkha runs in the significantly calmer company of the Class 4 Dragon Bet Apprentice Handicap (1.50) which opens Chepstow's six-race card.

Grade 3-winning chaser Cape Gentleman is interesting at Ballinrobe (7.00) with the other evening jumps meeting coming from Stratford. Brighton and Southwell also stage meetings.

Tuesday

There is no Flat racing on Tuesday as Worcester, Bangor and Fontwell stage jumps meetings in Britain and Bellewstown hosts a seven-race card in Ireland.

Only two of the 20 races in Britain have double-figure fields as topweight Pisgah Pike aims to follow up his shock Summer Hurdle win in the feature at Worcester (3.00), a track where he won two novice chases last term.

Wednesday

William Buick has a full book of rides at Kempton including Sense Of Power (7.00), who could build upon his Newmarket win last time out under a penalty. Sea The Casper is a useful spare to pick up with Simon and Ed Crisford's three-year-old only narrowly losing his unbeaten record at Ascot last month.

Other all-weather racing comes from Lingfield with Catterick, Musselburgh and Bellewstown staging seven-race turf cards. Sedgefield is the only jumps meeting of the day.

Thursday

The Racing League heads north to Newcastle as London and the South look to consolidate a healthy lead going into the third week of the team competition.

The seven live races on ITV4 mark the first of three days where racing will be on terrestrial television this week.

The evening meeting is preceded by racing at Ffos Las, Navan, Carlisle and Newcastle.

Friday

No Nay Never is enjoying a superb season as a sire and the appropriately named Coolmore Stud No Nay Never Fairy Bridge Stakes (6.00) at Tipperary is the highlight of Friday's action.

Last year's winner Pearls Galore could defend her crown for Paddy Twomey while Valiant Stakes winner Jumbly and Primo Bacio are intriguing entries for British-based stables in the 7½f Group 3 contest.

Hamilton has over £50,000 of prize-money on offer to the winner of the Phoenix Utilities Ltd Lanark Silver Bell Handicap (6.53) which headlines a seven-race card.

Newmarket, Ffos Las, Thirsk and Goodwood also stage racing.

Saturday

The William Hill Celebration Mile Stakes (3.35) headlines a decent card at Goodwood but the William Haggas-trained Maljoom won't be taking his place in the £125,000 Group 2, having not made the five-day confirmations on Monday.

A pair of Group 3s; the William Hill Prestige Fillies' Stakes (1.50) and the William Hill March Stakes (3.00) also offer interest in Sussex.

Ireland hosts a Group 3 of their own in the form of the Snow Fairy Fillies Stakes (3.40) at the Curragh while there are Listed races to look forward to at Beverley, Newmarket and Windsor respectively.

Redcar is the final Flat meeting of the day with Cartmel hosting a seven-race jumps card.

Sunday

Deauville's run of top-quality Group action in August continues with the Group 2 Lucien Barriere Grand Prix de Deauville, where last year's beaten Arc favourite Hurricane Lane could bid to bounce back from a couple of underwhelming efforts so far this term for Charlie Appleby.

The Prix de Meautry and Prix Quincey are other Group races on the card.

The Group 3 Supreme Stakes (3.35) is the highlight on the final day of Goodwood's three-day meeting which will be shown on ITV for the first time. Despite the Sunday Series coming to an end, the television cameras will still roll into town on Sunday for seven live races, including three at Beverley.

Yarmouth completes the day's racing.
