What's on this week: building towards a crescendo in the Prix Morny
Monday
An interesting meeting at Ballinrobe headlines the four cards for racing fans to sink their teeth into. The €30,000 Burleigh Accountancy Handicap Hurdle (7.10) is the showpiece with the Gavin Cromwell-trained Lever Du Soleil attempting to record a fifth win of the season.
Catterick is the only afternoon card, while Windsor and Wolverhampton complete the line-up on a low-key Monday.
Tuesday
The classiest action of the day comes from Carlisle courtesy of the Matchbook EBF Future Stayers' Novice Stakes (6.45), which promises to be an intriguing two-year-old contest full of smart pedigrees.
Sons of Frankel, Australia, Youmzain, Nathaniel and Golden Horn will lock horns for the £16,000 prize.
The remainder of the action comes from Nottingham, Ffos Las and Lingfield's all-weather track.
Wednesday
The Listed Hurry Harriet Stakes (7.20) should draw a good field to Gowran Park with the Ger Lyons-trained Munster Oaks winner Who's Steph likely to be a warm favourite.
True Self, trained by Willie Mullins, could take a significant drop down in trip, while the Henry Candy-trained pair Queen Of Time and Skill Set could make the journey across the Irish Sea.
On a busy day further racing comes from Newton Abbot, Worcester and Kempton, while Beverley and Salisbury each hold the first of their two day-fixtures.
Thursday
Derby second Madhmoon returns to the track in the Group 3 Desmond Stakes at Leopardstown, the first step on a road towards a tilt at next month's Irish Champion Stakes.
Hamdan Al Maktoum's three-year-old takes his first step into open company and could face hardened veterans, including Success Days and Verbal Dexterity. The British challenge looks likely to be spearheaded by the William Haggas-trained Mojito and veteran Suedois.
Elsewhere, Salisbury and Beverley complete the second legs of their two-day meetings with further action from Lingfield, Yarmouth, Chepstow and Tramore.
Friday
An excellent day centres around the Byerley Stud Stakes at Newbury. The Listed race usually attracts a field of promising juveniles and this year is likely to be no exception with the likes of Al Raya and Good Vibes putting their reputations on the line.
Afternoon action from Wolverhampton and Nottingham supplements Newbury before all eyes turn to the Curragh's evening card.
The Group 3 Irish St Leger Trial Stakes (6.45) over 1m6f could hold major clues for the final Irish Classic of the season before the Group 3 Royal Whip Stakes (7.15), won in 2015 by Found, takes centre stage.
Thirsk, Newmarket and Chelmsford also host evening cards on a packed Friday.
Saturday
It may not be the most high-profile of Saturdays, but the Group 2 Hungerford Stakes has been won by the likes of Excelebration and Sir Dancealot and it would be no surprise for the race to throw up another good winner.
Cape Byron, Zaaki and Khaadem are all improving types, while the likes of One Master, Flaming Spear and former winner Breton Rock bring experience into what should be a competitive race.
The Denford Stakes and the Geoffrey Freer Stakes complete the Pattern-level action at Newbury, while Ripon stages the £75,000 Great St Wilfrid Handicap, won last year by the David Barron-trained Gunmetal.
Doncaster, Perth and Newmarket complete Saturday afternoon's cards before Cork, Bath and Market Rasen take over in the evening.
Sunday
All eyes turn to the picturesque Deauville for the Prix Morny, where Royal Ascot and Prix Robert Papin winner A'Ali could put his sizeable reputation on the line if connections opt for this over the Nunthorpe the following week.
It is a low-key end to the week in Britain with just two meetings, but there is Listed action in the Flying Fillies' Stakes at Pontefract. A jumps card at Southwell is the other offering.
