Racing at Wetherby on Thursday goes ahead after the track passed a 10.30am inspection following unexpected snowfall overnight.

A light covering of snow hit during the night but thanks to some early morning sunshine and rising temperatures, the seven-race card is good to go and the course has said the official going is now soft.

"We had a good hour of snow in the morning, but as soon as the sun came up and the temperatures rose then we were all clear. We're all green now thankfully," clerk of the course Jonjo Sanderson said.

Thursday's cards and betting

The seven-race card at the Yorkshire track will begin at 2.15 and is one of five fixtures in Britain and Ireland on Thursday.

There are no snow worries at Britain's other jumps fixture at Warwick, where the going is good ahead of their eight-race card.
