Webber may look to plunder big Spain prize again with Gwafa

Paul Webber is no stranger to having runners in Spain, having twice lifted the Gran Premio de San Sebastian, and he is readying another challenge for one of the country's big races next month.

Australia Day (2012) and Tindaro (2014) have won the Tattersalls-sponsored race for Webber, and Australia Day's half-brother Gwafa could run in the 1m4f Listed Copa de Oro.

"There's a fair chance Gwafa will go," Webber said. "We'd like to run him on the Flat. Probably the best handicap for him is at York on August 19, so we'll have the choice between that and San Sebastian on August 15."
